How We Verify Visa Requirements

1. Source selection

We only use official government immigration portals as our data sources. For each destination country, we maintain a verified list of authoritative websites (listed on our Information Sources page). We never rely on third-party aggregators, unofficial blogs, or secondary summaries.

2. Structured review

Each destination's requirements are reviewed on a regular schedule. During a review, our operations team checks:

• Visa/eTA categories and eligibility criteria
• Government fees and payment methods
• Processing times and validity periods
• Required documents and photo specifications
• Any new policy announcements, updates, or restrictions

3. Change monitoring

We monitor official government channels for announcements that affect visa requirements. When a change is published — a new fee schedule, a policy update, or a border announcement — we flag the affected destination and prioritise re-verification.

Last verified: 31 July 2026. Each visa page shows its own verification date.

4. What happens when a government portal is unavailable

Government immigration websites occasionally experience outages or maintenance. When a portal is unavailable during a scheduled review, we:

• Retry the review on the next business day.
• Display the most recently verified data with a note that the portal was unreachable on the scheduled review date.
• Monitor the portal and complete the review as soon as it becomes available again.

5. Quality assurance

After a data update is applied, a second team member reviews the changes against the source before the update goes live. Our editorial process follows a two-person review model for fee and policy changes that could affect application outcomes.
